' What is the Reel Australia?' check out our inspiring short films and vote for the real Australia!

Aquinas Crowe approaches the question of “What is the real Australia?” with great honesty.

In the film, Aquinas draws us into his personal experience of Australia with a rare openness. He also reflects upon wider notions of Australian identity and culture. For Aquinas, the essence is to celebrate and respect the diversity of cultures, and to care for country and for all the people who live side by side on this land.

Australia is “for all people to come together, learn their cultures, to learn how to look after our country and look after all the people who come from overseas…”

Aquinas is supported by the Yiriman Project.

Aquinas - what a terrific short film. I remember seeing you working away in the Yiriman Project offices with Michael Allen last July, and I've been curious ever since to see 'what's been cooking'. Congratulations on being selected as a finalist, and good luck in the final competition. Fingers and toes are crossed.
